Why I chose this costume:

When One Piece aired its 1,000th episode, Noelle and I wanted to celebrate and what better way to do that than by cosplaying the best Straw Hat girls? We chose to do their post-timeskip outfits because the designs are so iconic and I also really love Robin’s blue-and-peach color-scheme.

How I made this:

The skirt/sarong is a lightweight stretch material I found that just happened to be the perfect shade of peach. I drew up patterns for the leaf and flower appliqués, raided the scrap bin for materials, and applied them with heat ’n’ bond. The pink fringe is milliskin, also scavenged from the scrap bin, that I spent several hours painstakingly measuring and cutting into strips.
I used a royal blue Ponte Knit from Joann’s for the top, made a stencil for the flower emblem, and applied it via airbrush.
The wig is a lacefront that I trimmed and styled.
Lastly, the shoes are from the thrift store and I swiped the shades from Noelle (although I’m 95% sure they were mine to begin with and she swiped them from me first😆)
